Koory and Looloosh were original members in the now famous Iranian band Hypernova. They had to leave the band because they weren't allowed to leave the country at the time due to military conscription.
They decided to form a new band called the Yellow Dogs. They tried to find a drummer for 3 months, and eventually found a drummer called Zina. They started to practice together and wrote songs for 5 months until they found Siavash(obash) as vocals and rhythm guitar! They built a rehearsal room on Zina's Rooftop with their own hands and started making songs. The only thing that that has kept them alive in the undergrounds of Iran is their passion for music and a dream that they could one day play outside of their homeland.
It's very hard to have a rock band in an Islamic country where musicians are always guilty of some sort of crime.
After years of running around in the chaotic Iranian bureaucracy they finally have worked out their paperwork and are ready to take on the world. The Yellow Dogs represent the voice of Iran's youth and will play their music as loud as they can so the whole world will hear them!
