Born in 1969 (1348) in Tehran in an open-minded family. In 1986 (1365) he moved to Hamburg (Germany) & stayed there until 1993, & then one year in England.

Three weeks after his first experience with the instrument, He joined a high school band. Eventually, he gathered experience while playing & performing with local Hard Rock & Heavy Metal bands. In 1991, he co-founded the band Trial & Error along with Uli Schulz & Dirk Wolf on guitar & vocals & Karsten Nogel on drums.

In 1993, he came back to Iran & then he is doing professional career. Since then, he has played with many singers & composers. His work includes studios recording, live performances with the most famous Iranian artists . The highlights of babak's career include playing & performing along side Googoosh ( the Iranian diva) , Mohammad Nori & O-hum …

As a bass player & songwriter, his influences are mainly bassist.

He first started writing with his band Trial & Error in Germany, The "Trial ,Error" & "Black & White" are from that era. He also written & co-written songs with his former band Avizheh, which played a mixture of traditional Iranian music with Pop & Jazz.

He doesn’t care much about a certain style. He usually plays & writes whatever he feels like at the time, or in his own words:
