He began to play guitar at his 5 years old, and after some years stopped playing.At the age of 12, While Rock and heavy metal music was spreading in Tehran, he decided to play guitar again. So he began to learn guitar with a rock guitar player in Tehran named Masoud Mirshab. He played acoustic and classic guitar for some years. A few years later he started to learn electric guitar by himself.
In 1994 Arash performed his first pop/rock concert (one of the first concerts after years of prohibitions on pop music) with a band of friends. Then he began to perform many concerts as lead guitarist for a singer/songwriter named Shahkar Bineshpajooh.
In 1997, Arash decided to form a band to play cover-songs by the UK/US bands and musicians that he liked very much. Thus the rock band Pejvak was born and was fully based on the lead guitar playing of Arash. He performed many rock concerts with the band in Tehran and some other cities, covering Pink Floyd, Santana, Dire Straits, Joe Satriani and so on. Due to prohibitions like English vocals, all the vocal lines were played and improvised by Arash. An album was released by the band and After a few disputes with the band, he decided to leave and continue his music career independently.
In 2003, he composed a Persian rock album with co-songwriter and vocalist Shahram Majidyeh which was a mixture of Arash`s different musical tastes from pop to rock, spacerock, funk, country and heavy metal.
In 2007, he composed some songs for a short movie named " zero point "(directed by hadi azadnia),that arouse the admiration of the directors of the" Iranian young cinema society ".
Arash has played guitar for other musicians as well, some of which have been used on TV, films, shows, theatres and artistic videoclips.
Also, He has been a pioneer to play pop and rock music in the Iranian cities that never had a chance of having a pop music performance.
