APRIGON formed in 2002 in Tehran/ Iran when the two brothers (Pejman Farshidmehr/ Hooman Farshidmehr) decided to establish a "Power Metal" band with a pure oriental taste. It took a few years for the band to achieve it's own style with a music with a real APRIGON's so called signature. The first release of the band was the single "You're just lying" in 2006 which was presented as a video clip. In 2007 the band moved to Armenia for recording the album EASTERN STORM. Then they decided to make some changes in compositions, so the recording project was postponed for a few months. The album was recorded with the fantastic job of Arsen Adonts as Sound Engineer and Arman Avetisian as mixman in Yerevan Productions and released in 2008.
In Zoroastrian religion fire is highly revered.We can see it in all the Zoroastrian temples (Adorian). This has made many people around the world to mistakenly assume that Zoroastrians are fire worshippers!! While it's just a symbol for the followers, something just like cross for Christians.
Zoroaster, the Iranian prophet, calls god AHOURA MAZDA (the wise creator). He has three principles, GOOD THOUGHT, GOOD WORD and GOOD DEED, and he admires the WISDOM so far as he calls it SAINT WISDOM and god, the owner of the saint wisdom.
In all the Zoroastrian temples there is a specified jar for keeping the holy fire. Zoroaster, the Iranian prophet, in about 4000 years ago took fire as something pure. Maybe the purest thing on earth. Something which gives us light and helps us to see when we can not see in the dark. Something which keeps us warm when we are cold and helpless. Something which purifies. And further more, for Zoroastrians, fire is a sign of WISDOM.
During the centuries talented and sophisticated ancientPersians made a large specific jar for keeping this holy fire which now we can see it in all Zoroastrian temples all around the world (which are mostly located in Iran and India).
This beautiful jar is called APRIGON!
