| Flow |
As the singer song writer of Flow I started taking music lessons at the age of 8; going to the then new schools that followed the Carl Orff method of teaching music to children. After a few years of classical piano training I left music for the world of Computer Science. During my computer studies, in my alone time, I found myself involved in music and musical composition once again. After completing my degree in Computer Science I moved to London to achieve an MA in Audio Technology; by now music and sound engineering had become the most important parts of my life. Ever since I have participated in several band projects encompassing several different musical styles from Fusion to Progressive Rock.
Flow is one of my projects that follows a more Rock and Blues influenced style of composition. It links back to a back ground of 60's and 70's Rock music I grew up listening to, which is the style I find most legitimate for protest songs. Close friends, from back grounds similar to myself, contribute to the songs that are written and produced by Flow.
I hope that in the years to come Flow would take on a more contemporary sound, with newer influences entering it's Classic Rock sound changing it into a more modern form of expression.
Call (Neda)
Music and Lyrics by The Flow:
Verse 1:
As I watch the news unfold on my T.V set....
I can see violence on a bloody Saturday....
I see you tremble into your own blood.....
And I hear the crowd call out your name....
Believe me sister, believe me darling...
You Shall not have died in vain....
Chorus Farsi Lyrics:
Neda to shodi tasvir o seda az Irani ke misooze too atishe khiyanat....
Neda to shodi tasvir o seda az Irani ke ghaltide too dorough e diyanat.....
Neda to shodi tasvir o seda az Irani ke oftade too ashoobe ghiyamat....
The crowds are shouting louder...
The guns are shooting farther...
Another body falls down to the ground...
How long are you gonna sit in silence??
While they still keep taking more and more...
Of a freedom you never had and wished to hold...
Chorus:
Neda to shodi tasvir o seda az Irani ke misooze too atishe khiyanat....
Neda to shodi tasvir o seda az Irani ke ghaltide too drough e diyanat....
English Bridge:
Neda you're the witnessing soul of a Nation...
If only they'd been a bit more patient, before they spilled your blood...
Neda you're in the hearts and minds of the people...
That are fighting for their dignity... After the shock waves of disdain...
English Outro:
Hear the Call of freedom.... Hear the Call of freedom.... Can't you hear the Call of freedom?
Farsi outro:
Beshno Sedaye abadi... beshno Nedaye azadi... beshno Sedye abadi... Beshno, beshno...
Beshno Nedaye azadi.....
